The Dartmouth New England English Database (DNEED) is a corpus of spoken English data based on an eight-year New England sociolinguistics field project led by Prof. Stanford. DNEED was created in 2010-2017 by our research team of Dartmouth undergraduate students and faculty who collected data from a total of 1,560 New England adults. The dataset includes face-to-face fieldwork (300 interviews) and also online data collection (1,261 respondents). Data processing produced a total of 218,021 automatically extracted vowel tokens and over 15,000 manually judged tokens of coda-/r/.
