DARLA (Dartmouth Linguistic Automation) was a free, open-access, user-friendly, online tool for automated vowel data extraction developed by Sravana Reddy and Jim Stanford. From 2015-2026, DARLA processed over 73,000 user-submitted audio files. The DARLA era is now over, but we highly recommend the new system called VoxHumana, which is hosted at BYU by Joey Stanley.
